v0.1.0 — UNLICENSED

The IMMERSE platform is currently distributed without an open-source license. All rights reserved by the copyright holder.

This is a deliberate choice for the early-access period: - Source is shared with friendly designers and venue partners under direct relationships - Public licensing decisions (commercial / dual / open-source) will be made after v1.0 - Until then, do not redistribute, modify for redistribution, or use in production for paying customers without explicit written permission

What you may do today

  • Use IMMERSE Studio, Runtime, and Node for personal or evaluation purposes
  • Modify the source for your own internal use
  • Report bugs and suggest features
  • Author shows and run them privately

What you may not do today

  • Redistribute IMMERSE in any form (source, binary, modified, etc.)
  • Use IMMERSE to deliver paid commercial services without an explicit license agreement
  • Remove copyright notices or branding
  • Sub-license or transfer rights

Future licensing direction

We're considering one of the following for v1.0:

  1. Source-available with a commercial license — code is readable, modifications are allowed, but production use requires a paid license
  2. Dual-license: AGPL + commercial — open source for non-commercial use, commercial license for proprietary use
  3. Closed source with paid licenses — traditional commercial software model

If you're a customer, partner, or contributor with an opinion on which model fits, email support@immersecontrol.com.
